The new year has launched us into outer space! We have learned about stars and planets, dinosaurs and rocks. We molded clay into dino eggs and hatched babies. We also explored pirate ships, flags, hats, sparkly treasure, and mixed up some pirate slime.
We read The Earth Book, Look Inside Space, That’s Not My Pirate, I’m A Dirty Dinosaur, and the classic Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
We had an amazing month focused on collaborative learning. Some of these projects include creating and building a pirate ship out on the patio, building a classroom tent (oh, did I mention we went camping and “roasted: marshmallows as well?). We also made a class mural and hung it outside the classroom. So many adventures!
