Our Pre-K kids have been plugging along working on learning the letters of the alphabet. Most recently, those letters are “T” and “U”. For the letter “T” the kids enjoyed a Teddy Bear tea party with their favorite stuffed animal. For the letter “U”, the kids did an under table drawing and a USA Star Spangled Banner Wreath.
Because Purim was in March, we focused on that Jewish Holiday and made some shakers (BOO HAMAN), created some Purim characters, and made some plague bags. Now with Passover coming up, we are shifting our focus to get ready for the Sedar by making plates and decorating trays.
With the Passover performance coming up, the children have been working hard on learning their Passover songs, and memorizing the words to the Pesach play. The children have also started eating some matzah and making some matzah pizzas.
Near the Passover holiday, we were delighted to have Rabbi Rosenthal read us a couple of his favorite Purim books. It was a special day! All of of books recently have been related to the Passover holiday. We have read, “Moses”, “Sammy Spiders First Passover”, and “The Matzah Men”.
Here are some photos from the last couple of weeks…
