What a month for the Efrochim class! February started with Tu B’Shevat, painting pine cones and making decorations for the trees. The children have been working on identifying their colors through games and activities. They’ve also been working on identifying their emotions (happy, sad, tired, and frustrated), being a good friend through empathy, and sharing and taking turns. They are reading “The Very Hungry Catepillar”, “My Jewish Colors,” and “Colors for Active Minds.” They have been singing the “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes,” “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” “The Wheels on the Bus,” and their ABCs. They’ve also explored new sensory experiences including straws and cotton balls and sand foam.
