It was a very busy February in Silverman’s toddler class! The month was spent exploring all things farm related with a Big Red Barn theme. We also created polar bears, studied them, and made our own classroom version of “Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you See?”. The children absolutely loved reading the book and seeing their friends… We even sent copies home for the kids to enjoy. This was also helpful for the children to learn who their classmates are.
We also learned where our head, shoulders, knees, and toes are by singing the song, “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes”. The toddlers also learned the letters, A,B, and C, circle, square, and triangle shapes, and finally counting from numbers 1-10.
The books read were “Teeth Are Not for Biting”, “Hands Are Not for Hitting”, and “Big Red Barn”.
The month of March will be spent doing a transportation theme in the toddler class and we are looking forward to it!
Here are some photos from February…
