It has been a busy first couple of weeks for Ms. Amethyst’s 3 year old Parparim class. They have been decorating the classroom with their beautiful art work, and working on projects for the high holy days coming up in the next month. In the next few weeks they will begin working on a unit about the “World Around Us”. The unit will take the children on a journey from San Diego to outer space.
A big focus for this age group are the fine motor skills. The Parparim class will work on those fine motor skills through activities, such as painting, beading and playdough. The children will be able to enjoy working with their small hands, while participating in fun things. We will also practice working together and communication skills, by making sure we are using our words, and not our hands or feet.
Books Ms. Amethyst’s Parparim class have enjoyed so far, include, “The Kissing Hand”, “I Like Myself”, and “Chikka Chikka Boom Boom”.
Ms. Amethyst is looking forward to an exciting year with her group!
Here are some photos from the first couple of weeks….
