We have had a great month in Parparim! We have enjoyed getting to know each other and becoming familiar with our routine, teachers and enrichment activities.
Since the High Holidays were in September, we spent a lot of time learning about Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Some of our favorite activities included making applesauce and squishing our own grapes for juice! Special thank you to William and his family for donating the grapes from their garden!
We also enjoyed making many decorations for the sukkah; the children especially loved the collage apples and painted leaf mobile. The children have loved seeing what they have made hanging in sukkah while they eat “snack in the shack”.
Next month we will be diving into fall and exploring pumpkins (how they grow) and why leaves change! Keep an eye out for a flyer coming home requesting pumpkins and squash donations to add to our classroom!
Here are some photos of our eventful last month….
