Its been a very busy first couple of weeks in Silverman’s infant class. The teachers are working with the children on a unit about their bodies. They are exploring different ways they move through activities like dance and baby yoga.
The first art project the infants did was a stomping foot prints piece. The teachers had to help the infants get ink on their feet by pressing their feet onto the ink pad and then stamping their feet onto the butcher paper. The art projects turned out very cute, as you can see in the photos below.
Because the infants were learning about body parts, we utilized one of the children’s favorite toys, Mr. Potato head for another project. The infants glued together body parts of Mr. Potato Head to create their own unique version of the classic toy.
Finally, the Shorashim class did a shadow silhouette project. The children had to sit on a chair while one of the teachers used a flash light to flash light on them while the other teacher took pictures of the child’s shadow. As you can see, it turned out very cute.
