Silverman’s Pre-K classes spent time learning about the countries of: Lithuania, Mexico, Norway, and Oman. The children love learning about different places around the world.
Focusing on letters, for the letter “L”, they printed with Legos and made lanterns. For the letter “M”, the kids made Mexican flags and learned about the moon. The letter “N” had the kids painting noodle necklaces and learning about the Northern lights. The ocean was the main topic for activities for the letter “O” and the kids also did science experiment using oil and water to see what was heavier.
Both Pre-K classes continued working on fine motor skills, social and emotional development, and number recognition.
Some books they read were: “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”, “The Very Grouchy Ladybug”, and “Let’s Do Nothing.”
In January, the Silverman Pre-K classes also have their annual mailman visit. Some other special guests and events included a librarian visit and celebrating some birthdays.
